LFL are always very pleased to hear from volunteers who would like to help it with its work promoting local food.

If you are interested in local food and drink we have range of opportunities for you to "get your teeth into. It's a great way to find out more about our local food culture and community as well as giving you a chance to share your thoughts and enthusiasm with other volunteers and staff. We are always looking for new ideas to promote local produce whether at markets, schools, social events etc.

We are currently looking for the following volunteers:- 

1.    FARMERS MARKET VOLUNTEERS
  willing to help our market managers with small entertainments
 and events at their local LFL Farmers Market

2.      EVENT VOLUNTEERS
 to help plan and man large and small events in 2010

 -Hinckley Farmers Market Festival  Thursday 18th March 2010
 -Melton Mowbray Country Fair   Sunday 27th June 2010
 -Social and Christmas Events  Dates to be notified

3.      ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEERS
 occasional half days helping in the office or at your home

We would also be very interested in hearing from any volunteers who could help us with specific tasks -
ie Computer and web, Human Resources, Public Relations and Legal expertise or would like to be part of our Management Committee.
