Melton Mowbray Country Fair 2012 and BIG BAKE competition on Sunday 1st July 2012 10am -  5pm

3m x 3m pitch down to £40.00 outside £50.00 in marquee

We are now busy working on the event for 2012 - If you would like to be involved we are looking for the following:-

ANTIQUES, COLLECTABLES, VINTAGE AND BROCANTE STALLS (NEW AREA)
including antique cookery books and kitchenalia for our "Have Fun with Food" Marquee

LOCAL FOOD/DRINK, CRAFT, ECO & GENERAL STALLS 
Application packs are still available for certain areas
Belvoir Brewery will be running the Local Ale tent. Tenders are still acceptable for the Meadow Tea Shoppe

HERITAGE DISPLAYS
Re-enactors and craftworkers, food historians, morris, swing or country dance groups, musicians, town criers. Veteran, vintage or classic cars and service vehicles, . Working exhibits of agricultural equipment and tractors. Old fashioned Fairground rides.

STEAM
Steam tractions engines and organs, miniature steam engines.

LIVESTOCK
Interested breed societies or clubs wishing to run an annual show. Owners willing to show their animals in our visitors area.

We are still looking for more cattle, sheep, pigs etc for visitors to see. CAN YOU HELP!

PLANT & GARDENING SOCIETIES
Interested plant or gardening societies looking for a venue to run an annual show or to bring displays.

PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL FOOD/DRINK PRODUCERS, CRAFTWORKERS AND RESTAURANTS
If you are able to demonstrate your skills for visitors to watch we will be able to offer you a special package. So whether its sausagemaking or pottery, cookery demonstrations or flower arranging, sheep shearing or pigeon plucking we would like to hear from you now.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERS AND WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS
We have a range of exciting volunteer roles at the Country Fair and Melton BIG BAKE whether its admin, marketing, stewarding or project management. We are also eager to help young people to gain some work experience and offer a placement scheme for Event Management undergraduates.

Leicestershire Food Links is a not for profit social enterprise which promotes local produce because of its benefits to our communities. We run Farmers Markets and food events. We also offer presentations, demonstrations and run educational projects in and around Leicestershire.
